Parenting Books

Did you realize that we must pass tests to obtain a drivers license, yet the minimum requirements to become a parent are far less? Where do we go for the answers? To the Lansing Public Library, of course!
We have a book for every stage of parenting from toilet training with the picture book No More Diapers for Ducky where a cute little duck decides he's ready for the potty, to 365 Smart After-School Activities which lists great alternatives to television and computer games. How about Learning Disabilities and ADHD, A Family Guide to Living and Learning Together or Where Do Babies Come From?
No one has all the answers to child raising, and these are just a few of the many titles we have to help you deal with all the stages of parenting. Please click on the links above or stop in to check out these titles or others on our Parent Shelf in the Youth Services Department, lower level. If you're facing a challenge as a parent, there is probably a book that can help you through it.
